I KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO HATE YOUR JOB.
If you'd read my resume a few years ago, you'd probably have thought I was pretty successful.
And then, if I told you how unhappy I was at work, you may have thought, "She's CRAZY!"
But it was true. In spite of holding an MBA from Harvard Business School and having worked for nearly a decade at The Walt Disney Company and Capital One, I was miserable.
You see, I was operating under a definition of success that someone else had written for me. I thought chasing money, titles and a traditional 9 to 5 was what I was supposed to be doing to be happy. In reality, that path left me feeling empty, and I knew something needed to change.
By re-discovering myself -- what I really valued in a job, what was important to me and what I uniquely offered the world -- I was able to rewrite my definition of success and transition into a career path where I felt fulfilled and aligned with my purpose.
Was it scary? YES. Was it worth it? Absolutely.
MBA + Bachelor's in Journalism
+ Certified Professional Coach
I bring the right mix of experience to the table. When you work with me you're not hiring some fresh-out-of-college youngin' who calls themselves a coach. Rather, you're gaining access to someone with years of experience in the corporate world and as a career counselor. I also hold the Certified Professional Coach designation and have completed a coach training program through iPEC (The Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching).
I've been in your shoes. I've experienced and managed through career transitions. I've survived a layoff and managed to come out the other side happier. I've worked with coaches for years, and I understand what makes a coaching experience good (and awful).
I understand the perspective of the recruiter. I managed the Disney Vacation Club internship recruitment program for four cycles, reading hundreds of resumes, interviewing dozens of candidates, and onboarding and developing new hires. At Capital One, I recruited my own team, and after hiring rockstars, was called upon to assist with all new Brand Strategy hires for the next year.
I get results. My clients have gone on to score more interviews, get more offers, negotiate higher salaries -- and feel more confident while doing all of it -- after our work together.
